I offer affordable, highly-customizable music lessons in the following areas. Sessions are $50 for one hour, and I can easily blend any of these topics together into a unique lesson plan tailored just for you. I can come right to your home at no additional charge, and I am available for Skype lessons as well.  To book a time, or if you have any questions, please see the Contact page.

These are the most common lessons people seek, and I have over a decade of experience in teaching both instruments to adults, teenagers, and kids as young as 8 years old. For most, pianos lessons focus on the classical idiom and its strong foundations, but lessons in jazz technique and improvisation are also available. Guitar is very flexible–I offer lessons in acoustic and electric, tailored to each student’s goals and musical taste.

I offer lessons in both jazz and classical music theory, in a combination constructive to your unique goals. Instruction will be supplemented with ear training exercises, solfege training, and music analysis/composition. Great for the performer or composer looking to expand their toolbox, as well AP/IB Music Theory students, or anyone wishing to learn the science behind Western harmony.

I teach lessons in Logic, Pro Tools, MIDI paradigms, and score-prep in Finale. I have strong experience in orchestral-mockup, recording, and sound design using such programs as Massive, FM8, Kontakt, and Logic’s ES2. Lessons will cover MIDI conventions, mixing, plug-in usage, workflow efficiency, and other topics.

These are very customizable sessions, based on whatever kind of music you’d like to write. Depending upon your goals, these sessions will cover topics such as melody craft, music theory and harmony, ear training, song form, and many other useful topics. Whether you’re trying to write a pop tune or a sonata, I’d be happy to help you out.
